I opted for a module that would replace some parts in the original adapter so I could retain networking capability as well as look stock externally. So searching eBay led me to listings for adapters that would allow my PS2 to use newer/faster/cheaper sata drives over the antiquated IDE the original hdd adapter uses. So after soft modding my phat PS2 with FMCB and loading a bunch of games onto an internal 120GB 3.5″ IDE it wasn’t long before I realized that I would quickly run out of space.
